i looked my tranny over a little closer today, its a 4 wheel drive model,my trucks a 2 wheel drive, the output shaft does not have a threaded hole,so it wont work in a 2 wheel drive without a different shaft.
anybody want a 4 wheel drive ally 1000?

Randy, sent you a PM. I have been on vacation, a long needed one. I can't take all credit for the ally conversions. Brayden was pretty much the mastermind and I was a guinea pig so to speak. We have worked together quite a bit on this. I have to give credit where credit is do. I have learned a ton about these conversions and have done a few for people. Randy, you can use that tranny if you can find or buy the the two wheel drive cover and output shaft. Just a thought.

Gabe,i looked up SAE bell housings and the larger the number the smaller the size,so a #3 is smaller than a #2,so on the 545 alleys that use a #2 housing you can use the adapter to make a #3 fit.

I put the new TCM in today and drove around for about 30 minutes. Wow, its like a different truck. The shifts are quick and very smooth. Under heavy throttle, it kicks down and revs like I hoped it would. It definitely put a smile on my face. Obviously, I haven't put many miles on it yet, but so far, its very factory-like (I mean that in a good way).

Brayden is sending me pin numbers & switches for OD lockout, Tow/Haul mode, and 4-Low. Having those will be icing on the cake. Brayden, thanks, and you were right, I really like the new program.

Great!

Sorry I didn't get back with you Friday. I was wondering if you got it installed and tested. Sounds good. You'll like tow haul also.

I guess I am some people? I don't believe and have lost intrest in your dyno sheet. However, good luck to you and your customers Gabe. I will be replacing my Allison with a Dodge tranny behind my Dmax for next years drags. Buck's 9 second passes have proved in the real world what I was saying all along.

Good point OPIE, and I recall you telling alot of people that same thing well over two years ago! And now Buck and Jess Spruill have shown everyone that it was not any kind of a "bogus claim", but that it does, in fact work!!

I am glad that the dodge tranny is working. That doesn't mean that the allison won't. The fact is, the dmax is using SEM which would probably slow you down in the quarter and it also has more of a bindup resulting in broken parts.

Gabe,

Don't take this as a slam, but can you imagine the poor Chevy guys "morale" when all of the fast Chevies and GMC's are running a 48RE!!
