With my CAD, I can not disengage 4x4 without letting up on throttle?

Well if you have the CAD, there is no reason why you cant shift out of 4wd without lifting off the throttle. Your axles stay locked until you let of the throttle but you can disengage the front drive shaft at the transfer case.

It can be one of the fastest trucks. You just have to get some nice big stickies out back, unlike the 4x4 guys who can run street tires. But with slicks your starting out 500lbs lighter than a 4x4. Thats close to .5 in the 1/4 with the same power.
