Alcoa 24.5's, Like Em?
If I could trade this guy even up , I would. (which would seriously aggrevate my wife) My 01 Q.C is far inferior in style and amenities. I will say however that I had an 87 Chevy Silverado that I put a 6" skyjacker all leaf spring kit, and the ride went down the toliet. I would imagine this beast is a rough one too. Guy is looking to get $16,500, sounds like a steal to me with only 98K miles.
Anyway the purpose of the post was to see how many guys agree that these rims are WAAY COOL! I know some old heads are going to chime in about how they are Too Big, but I LOVE EM!!!!!!!!Look Here

Yea I saw that truck on there last night. I think it looks cool, you wont see another one like it running around. I know if I was in Florida the 98 would be up for sell.

There is a new Chevy (gassser) around my way that is sporting the monster 24 or so inch "big rig" style rims. It gets my attention every time. I have a 10 yr old son who gets all excited when we pass the guy on the highway. Nice to see people getting away from the 15x10 with 35's look. Too much tire and not enough rim for me.
After a closer look, I don't care mcuh for the seats, but they can be swapped back to factory. That rim/tire & suspension set up is not seen often though.

I don't know...I think wheels that big need to be on a mack truck.It kinda brings the ''brotha'' look to a 1 ton dodge truck.I don't think the two looks mix very well.But I guess I would drive it if he gave it to me.But its kinda useless,Can't hook a trailer to it.But thats just my opinion.And im' not old either!

This truck is in Florida, In in Earleville. (actually 1.25 miles across the river to N.E)
I hear you Caleb on the Bling, Bling tip, Its borderline, but you don't see too many Hommies in Diesel trucks.

I would like to know the answer to the SRW question also. I wondered that when I first saw the truck. Would the front look the same, or what?? I have read about the 19.5's on here, seems that the tire price and availability gets scary at these sizes. Kinda like getting 44's back in the day.

I imagine, i dont think id buy it, first of all, the gearing in the diff probly aint been done for those massive tires, two, is the engine bombed enough to handle them easily? three, IT BE A HECKUVA cruiser... u wouldnt wear those tires out probly till a couple hundred thousand miles easy
that would be a plus. Its nice to look at, but like caleb said, no pulling a trailer, and in four wheel drive, would it be that useful? lo maybe what about hi? ID be skeptical.. but for my needs it just wouldnt do.... however bomb it to 600 rwhp and over 1200 TQ and man! u got uself a semi!!

If he had 19.5's that would look better, 22.5's is just about the limmit. Those 24.5's look way too big for the dodge, almost as if they overpower the size of the struck. Heck the rear axles holding 1000lbs of meats plus 500up front, 1500lbs of rolling mass. I dont know how long those axles would last, but probably not that long with a setup like that, better prey their superbly balanced.
