The alarm in my pickup was disable awhile back because my dad owned it for his business and never had to worry about break in's... but now I own it and I live in the city and last night there was 5 cars broken into and my bike got stolen... so I am wondering, how do I turn the alarm back on, can I do it myself? Is it better to just take it to a mechanic and if so what type of mechanic, would jiffy lube be able do you think?

 

I dont think there is a way to get rid of it unless the dealer disables it. Ask your dad what he had done.

 

Factory alarm= Dealership

Aftermarket alarm= Find brand, stereo shop
