AirDog vs FASS Need hlp deciding.

I need a new lift pump and not sure which one to buy. How complete is each system and what needs to be purchased independantly? I will also need an isolator for a fuel pressure relay and a new relay for a gow shift guage if anyone knows where to get one. I installed mine without an isolator and it is now toast.

The search function is wonderful! You will find pages of threads and very detailed explanations on your questions and then some.

The major difference between the two though is size, the airdog being smaller. Both systems have very good warranties so that should be a non-issue.

I love my airdog 100. They advertise it will hold 500hp and thats plenty for me. Comes with new lines and everything you need to relocate it the the fram rail. Its very quiet even tho some on here say theres are noisy. I couldnt be happier with the product and the piece of mind of good fuel pressure

I went with the AD150. It's more compact, has a lifetime warranty on the pump and the price is tough to beat.

if money is tight, look at the airdog, 499 right now, and if you can figure out/ are familiar with ms cash back, brings the price down to 430 bux with a 14% rebate through Microsoft's live search, deposited right back to your paypal account.

Kinda funny, I just installed my Air Dog 150 yesterday, i dont have any experience with FASS, except i know there noisy, i had to actually get under the truck to see if this was running, very easy install, no drilling in the frame, very straight forward install, with the 150 you need to drop the tank, that was the biggest PIA! I already had a vulcan big line kit on with a holley on the frame, so just had to change out a few fittings, i went ahead and removed the factory fuel filter canister, cleans up that side of the engine nicely!! Total time was about 4 hrs. OF course thats including beer breaks...lol.. i only have a 15 psi gauge and when i fired it up, it wrapped it way around that.. i'm guessing 20-24psi. I think i'm really gonna like this set up! Great product IMO!!!

I do love my FASS but both are excellent products!! You will be happy with either but I think the Airdog is much cheaper and still on sale for a bit longer....

It really does not matter which you choose.

They both carry lifetime warranties.

They both have the same basic features.

They both have upgraded harnesses and mounts.

I know which I prefer to install and why. But at the shop we change the kits to suit our standards and make it easier for a guy to pull the unit out if he ever needs to warranty a pump. Not to mention the "upgraded" fuel line we use as well.

So pick one and be happy with your purchase!
