Once again thanks for all the help. I've decided to locate the tank where the spare used to be located, can't use it anyway. I would like to know whether it's best to use teflon tape or pipe dope (for ease of use). And one last question, since the chrome on my grover has seen better days has anyone had any success painting over chrome? Do just scuff,primer and paint?

I've always thought pipe dope was better but I remember reading a thread about a guy doing air suspension and most of his joints were leaking so he had to go back through and teflon tape them.
