air flow

air flow
Ok...this may seem weird, but I'm going to ask anyway...

Since air is a biggie with the turbo...if you put aftermarket accessories like a bug deflector or even a window/hood cowl cover on your vehicle, are you taking away air flow that could be helping in cooling. Basically, are you restricting a natural flow over the hood? Just a thought and ponder...

Re:air flow
I think understand what you asking. The turbo doesnt get air from above the hood unless you run the Scotty II with the hole cut in the cowl. Air comes from in the fender or under the hood for other aftermaket designs.

Re:air flow
It probably isn't a huge factor even if you are sucking through the cowl, as with the Scotty, because you don't have "ram air" and are not disturbing the flow into some kind of scoop as with ram air type systems.

Chris
