Air Dog Install?

Just wondering about how long this installation should take and if there are videos online showing the installation.

It took me 2-2.5 hours using the stock fuel pickup. A lot of that time was spent trying to make the connection on top of the fuel tank and figuring out where to place the unit. It's a very straightforward installation. Put the fittings in the freezer for a while before you begin.

Best mod I've done, been running it for almost 2 years now with no issues whatsoever. I'm glad there are still people making quality products that are built to last (wish I could say that about other products I've thrown money at on my truck).

I'm started and have the unit put together but can't figure out where to mount it. There doesn't seem to be room anywhere. The fuel tank runs quite a way along the frame so can't mount it there and don't see any spot further forward where it will fit. Can someone post a pic of where theirs is mounted?

I put it right behind the transfer case so it's protected a little by the skid plate that's there. I'll try to take a pic for you, but I'm in the middle of a blizzard right now.

Well mine is a QC SB with the NV5600 so no room down there. I'm gonna get a mount custom made to put it where I want it.

I thought AD has a different bracket, that allows you to mount the pump on the outside of the frame, I thought they would substitute the orginal brackets for the one that works on short box trucks

...I could be wrong..

Yeah, i took the two mount plates and welded them together then against all i welded it to the frame under the third door where the frame bends up. So its hidden and all. Its on the out side of the frame.

The two plates welder together is to clear the e brake.

That is where I plan to mount mine. Do you have any pictures of yours?

Looks good. You must have cut some length off of the mounting plates. I was gonna get a bracket made and welded in this spot. This looks easier. You still able to unbolt and remove the pump if you need to?

didnt cut a thing, i think i welded the bolts/nuts on the mount thru the spacer. And yes the whole pump and mass its bolted to un bolts and comes off the truck. Just make sure you leave room for the lines, mine are routed through the body mount.
