AIR CLEANERS

CAN SOMEONE TELL ME IF THERE IS ANY ADVANTAGE TO RUNNING THE SCOTTY AIR CLEANERS/FILTERS OVER THE K& N FILTERS? I HATE TO SPEND AN EXTRA COUPLE HUNDRED ON SOMETHING THAT IS NOT GOING TO HELP ME. HAS ANYONE TRIED THE LATEST ROUND OF BLUECHIP BOXES? I TRIED SOME EARLIER ONES. THEY ALL MELTED, BUT RUN GREAT BEFORE THEY WERE DRIPPING ON MY FLOOR MATS. IS THERE ANY ADVANTAGE TO REPLACING THE 3 INCH TURBO ELBOW WITH A 4 INCH? THANKS

Re:AIR CLEANERS

I would stay away from the k&n filters. I had one on my first gen and it let really fine dust through regardless of how it was oiled. There was also no chance for air to leak past the filter somehow. The dust went right through the filter. Heck, you can SEE through an k&n. I would try the afe. I have heard that they filter better and they are also available in the scotty.

Re:AIR CLEANERS

The K&N had a sealing problem, and did past alot of dirt around it's seal. If you would like to stay with a stock air box, AMSOIL makes a very good filter, that seals right, and flows great. It is very reasonable in price also. After going through the whole mess, I would think the smartest move would be to just get a AFE magnunm, and be none with it. Mr. Bob's is a great source, and he to great to deal with. His Magnum force kit is priced right, and fit perfectly.

Re:AIR CLEANERS

As far as your bluechip question, I recently purchased the APB. I bought it used and I am very happy with it. It will fuel about as heavily as a VP44 should fuel. I've also run some BlueChip knock-off boxes and never had a problem with them either. Have a good one, andy
