Aftermarket Seats
I am interested in getting some aftermarket seats. The stockers in my '98 are terrible. They are the base package seats, and are not very comfortable. I would like suggestions on aftermarket seats, and where to get them online.
Thanks!

What kind of seats are you looking for??? You looking to go back with a bench with the center console, or buckets or what?? I know that some of the race buckets ( recaro, crobeau,..... ) they make universal brackets that can be adapted and some even make brackets specific for our trucks.
I've also seen some nice leather benches in bunches of magazines but they cost a lot of money....$800 or more!

I guess I would like something with a center console. I've got the low end 40/20/40 seats now. Something around $500.00 or so. Ive seen some around 1k, but I just cant swing that.

Dick's Auto Parts is where I got the seats for my last truck - they were very comfy - got the leather ones with the wood center console. The neat thing about the seats is each section has it's very own slides, even the center console can be slid forward or backwards. The center console also has storage under the bottom seat cushion and in the top lid. They held up quite well for me and I'm a big boy (350lbs) so if your a normal sized person heck you got no worries about them lasting.
The cloth seats are set up the same as the leather ones if you don't want the leather - they had a ton of them in stock when I was up there getting mine a few years back. The "h" of the seat was correct so that I did not feel like I was falling off the front edge of the seat. Made the long trips a lot more enjoyable.
They were a direct bolt in operation because all the seats are the same (Ford, Chevy, Dodge) just the adapter kit changes. I think it took me about 20 mins to remove and reinstall the seats minus the cleaning (found some fries that were from when Bush Sr. was in office)...

[QUOTE=ds1rider]I'd go to a good salvage yard and grab some Ford Superduty seats. [QUOTE]
I liked the VW seats better. Plus they are not Ford, I mean how could you live that one down, even if they are comfortable? J/K
