Aftermarket Exhaust Manifold

Which exhaust manifold do you recomend? ATS, HTT etc. What are the diferences between them such as flow and strenth of material used. Just bought turbo but I figured I'd wait till I get a manifold so I get it done in one shoot. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I bought mine a while back so I don't know for sure if this still applies, but the first one I got was an ATS, it was OK, but disappointing for the price as it was not assembled (it can be a bear) and I had to drill and tap for the pyro probe; I also didn't like the screws that came with the ATS. A year later I got an HTT for my '01 and while they look almost the same I was much happier with the HTT as it came assembled, has two holes drilled and tapped for probes (both plugged of course), and it was much easier to mount than the ATS (different screws) and came with a bracket for the heater hose (the ATS didn't). So my vote goes for the HTT hands down.

Forgot that the ATS does not come assembled. Sounds like a no-brainer to me. Thanks.

I bought an ats manifold a year ago and it came already assemled, tapped for an egt probe, and had a bracket for the heater hose. ats even has a bigger flange for the turbo now but it is a little expensive.

I think he means they have a T4 foot available. But as far as I know these are only for turbos with a T4 foot, not really compatible with most normal upgraded turbos you would see, at least direct bolt on, you might be able to adapt it. More for competition turbos. It is pretty expensive too about $600 I think.

As far as your original question, I just picked up an ATS and it is a monster, very very heavy and well built. Comes assembled (but like said when they first came out they didnt) and comes tapped for pyro and includes heater bracket. As far as performance I think the thought behind these manifolds is to prevent cracking, the three piece design allows for heat expansion unlike the stock manifold which is prone to cracking. Have not put mine on yet to be able to tell if their is any performance gain to be had but I will let you know if I get it on before you buy.

exhaust manifold

if your looking for replacement because of cracking go with one of the 3pc designs. if you want peformance look into one of the new tubular headers that are out. i have one on mine with dyno results of better spoolup and the coatings have helped the underhood heat also. its a well made piece very thick flanges high grade polished stainless ceramic coated inside and the flanges.

no room in sig!! it will be sold through a supporting vendor soon. the mfg and them are hashing out some pricing for a larger purchase. these are in the $1300 range but worth every penny in craftsmanship. shoot me a email and i can send you some pics of mine.
