I just got a 98 12v, and it is a "farm" edition with no options. I can live with everthing but no cruise. I have searched and read all the way back to 2004 and can't seem to find much info. I would like to hear from people that have either installed all the parts(oem) or have gotten an aftermarket kit to work.

I would like to go with the OEM parts, from what I can figure, all I need is the switches, clockspring, and servo/cable. The wiring harness for the servo is there, which would lead me to beleive the PCM has that function if the parts are there. If I go that route is there anything else I need?

Afermarket; I have heard some horror stories, any that work good? How about the speed sensor, has anyone gotten the stock speed sensor to work with an aftermarket cruise, or just use magnets. Are there any problems with turbo lag with the logic of the cruise unit.

Any advice on either system would be great, there are lots of people that sell aftermarket systems, but not to many that have actually used em
