Z1bigtom,

Yes turbo back 4".

Big Blue,

How long did it take? I've had the system on almost a year and no problems yet?!

Anybody have a sound byte of a straight piped CTD?

I'm almost leaning toward a straight piped setup myself....They sell that S/S unit to keep the drone down if its to much .....I would really like to hear it myself also......

Well, I think I have made up my mind to go with the magnaflow system. Should have some extra cash next month to purchase. Found one on e-bay for $380.00 which includes the 5 inch tip and FREE SHIPPING. Anybody have any advice for the install. Waiting for the guy at my local garage to give me a price to install it. Looks pretty simple though and I might give it a try in the driveway.

I only have one concern. How hard was it to get the bolts off of the turbo bracket? The rest looks pretty easy.

I sprayed some good penetrating oil on them and waited an hour, came right off. This is on a five year old New York State vehicle that saw all of the salt and snow!! I got at them from below with a whole bunch of extensions!! The hardest part was getting the stock exhaust out of those rubber hangers.

Chief..........I was alomost 100% on the Magnaflow but then i realized that the pipe coming off the Turbo isnt 4".....

Reread the ad on ebay ........

I'm not sure how much affect that has but it has to be something since every other system specifies a 4" pipe off the turbo...

Can anyone comment on this....

I have a Comp box ready and want to da set of DD2's....

So I'm pretty sure i want a full 4" system...

I'm considering this setup.....

I read somewhere that Magnaflow tested 4" down pipe vs. their 3.5" downpipe and the 3.5 put out more H.P. Might check with these guys.

Anyone else have any thoughts to add? How much will this affect the exhaust system?

I have also been wondering about the effect of the 3 1/2" downpipe. It has me considering a different system witha full 4" downpipe.

Your correct but the Magnaflow is 3.5 all the way down under the truck, then goes to 4.00.....

Morning Members,

They also have a two piece tail pipe which if you have a 4 x4 truck will allow the clamp joint to show and a lot of folks don't like to see that, individual preferences etc. Some folks that go off road also are concerned about the tail pipe joint getting loose and causing problems down the road as time and corrosion do their job.

The price you were quoted is pretty strong, we are close to that with our MBRP systems and they have a one piece tail pipe, 4 inch down pipe and 100% welded T-304 stainless hangers that use the factory mounts. Call us you might be surprised at the lengths we will go to make sure you are our customer.
