After Cooler

Re:After Cooler
I can probably answer this one for ya. I don't think there is anyone out there running an aftercooler on a 24v. I do believe there is someone running one on a 12v but it is definantly not for perfromance. The cummins aftercooler for the 12v only flows 585cfm compared to our intercoolers that flow 900+. So a Cummins aftercooler is not really feasable on our trucks. You shure could go with an aftermarket air to water intercooler from Spearco or a company of that sorts.

Re:After Cooler
ya I guess using an after cooler off of a maire motor might act as a choke for air.
4x4 an after cooler uses water to cool the air. And an intercooler uses air to cool the turbocharged air

Re:After Cooler
To what some believe we are all using an AFTERCOOLER. Aftercoolers and intercoolers are both heat exchangers but the real definition of the two is: "Intercooler" means it is placed between a multi stage system. (not something you see these days) Using two compressors. And I dont mean the twins you see these guys running. "Aftercooler" means placed after the compressor (turbo/blower).
Back in the '80's Volvo used the incorrect word intercooler on their engine with an aftercooler and since then the two words have kinda become the same.
