Hey guys, as you might know, i just purchased this truck about a month ago. Everyone has told me that the first thing that i should get was gauges. After spending alot of money on those bad boys, LOL, Today i went and bought a AFE stage 2 cold air intake, Should this have been the next thing on my list? And will this increase my boost? I know that this will decrease my egt's. Thanks.

i was going to buy one and from what ive read and asked, people have tested a truck with an afe stage II and a truck with out and the stock air box is not supose to be restrictive untill 500 hp... so i am going to end up just buying a cone type air filter from napa or somthing and stick it one with a heat shield.

 

id say check to see what you have fuel filter you have and look for an upgrade for that...the end results if you ignore it could be expensive.

 

I have an AFE stage 2 and its a good airbox. It did reduce my egt's by 100 odd degrees. Havent noticed any difference in boost pressures, however, with the silencer ring gone my truck almost sounds like a jet

Also, I like the reaction i get from ricers when they look at my engine and see that my airbox is almost as big as their engine.
