AFE blue filter versus BHAF

The shop I got my turbo from recommended I upgrade the air filter since the BHAF would have started to be restrictive with the PS62 I put on. Seems like after I mounted and oiled the filter I can hear the turbo more, but the acceleration is more sluggish now?? Its the only thing Ive changed since I did the turbo and injectors.
Anyone have an idea what the flow of the AFE is like compared to the BHAF? Maybe Im really just pushing that much more air versus fuel? Ill try moving the AFC forward a tiny bit if thats the case.

Are you saying you oiled a brand new filter? They all come pre-oiled, as new.

aFe should flow considerably more than a BHAF.

Hmm.. packaging didnt say anything about oiling one way or the other and it looked a bit light in color so I put some AFE oil on there. Guess I can always wash and re-apply it.
Truck is certainly more smokey

I'd check your intake and turbo blades for signs of oil. No doubt you over-oiled if you added oil to a brand new filter.

Even an over oiled AFE will put a BHAF paper element to shame in the air flow department.

I would not worry about it.
