The design of the ScottyII drops the EGT's more than anything out there. I don't have any issues with the UNI so far. The oil analysis results I have seen on other trucks don't show any symptoms of "dirt" getting into the engine over and above the norm.

I think there is some confusion here - Ive never seen an AFE Proguard that will fit the Scotty 2. Please post if you find it. Thanks..

Smile How to get better mileage

I Have An 02 Dodge 3500 Diesel. 5in. Exhaust, Hypertech 3 Stage, And A Stock Air Filter. Will Larger Injectors Get Me Better Mileage And Should I Get A Different Intake? I Get Approx 16-17 Mpg Empty And Approx 11 Pulling A 30 Ft Gooseneck. Any Help Will Be Appreciated.

I'd say you need an air filter system of some sort. Any power increases really tap out the stock air filter. More often than not you can cause some leakage past the stock filter brick gasket. Mind you I don't know if the Hypertech comes with a boost elbow or not.

The mileage on the Diesel is most affected by timing and fuel injection quality, oh and the driver..

I'd highly recommend getting a scotty 2. They flow the best, they look the best, and they sound wicked with the hole cut. And as it turns out, scotty is having one heckuva a sale going on right now. You get his intake and his fuel system for $309. That's a great deal. Check it out here http://www.scottyairsystems.com/pricing.htm .

P0460: Fuel level unit no change over miles
P1694: Fault in companion module
P0122: APPS signal voltage too low
P1693: DTC detected in PCM/ECM

gdlukn,

I would get some Formula 1 injectors. Some 1.2's would give you the best mileage, but the 1.6's yeild an mpg improvement plus a nice HP improvement.

0216 is your injector pump (VP-44)...in most cases, your lift pump is dead as well.

If you had a FUEL PRESSURE GUAGE you would have saved yourself a few thousand bucks.

Hopefully, your truck is still under warranty.

The reply we got from AFE is there is a 9" filter with less flow then the 14".
They do not have a 14" proguard replacement crossover for the 20-40044.

Your not going to find it....The regular AFE will fit but not the Proguard 7. The UNI filter in the updated Scotty will work fine.
