AEM water/meth inj., anybody used it?

I've been wanting to put a water/meth injection kit on my truck for a long time and am even more tempted because of a sale on the AEM unit that comes with the 5 gallon tank. I only want it to try and drop EGT's on a long grade I have to climb every time I have my 5th wheel hooked up. I literally have to climb this grade staring at my EGT gauge for 30 minutes while trying to drive. I only plan on running distilled water no meth since I still have a stock head gasket.
Anybody have any experience with the AEM kit? I know better kits are available, but I'm not really interested in spending that much money. Thoughts/opinions?

What temps are you seeing going up the grade?

No experience with AEM but I have a Snow setup for the exact same reason you're wanting an injector.
Been running 100% -45 washer fluid in it with stock head gasket for over ten years now, no problems.
Drops egts about 150 instantly.

I have to modulate the pedal to keep it under 1250*.

Infidel, unfortunately in Southern California I have never seen the cold climate windshield washer fluid. I have searched every auto parts store, Walmart, Target and truck stop and always come up with just the normal stuff with no methanol. I can buy methanol and mix it myself but I don't know if a low percentage does much more than just water.

Any more thoughts or opinions on the AEM kit?

Yeah, washer fluid cold ratings are adjusted colder as you go north.
Might have to take a trip up this way

All of the washer fluid sold in California does not contain meth. You would have to go to Arizona to get some.

I'm calling BS on this one, and I'll eat crowlater if I have to

So do the manufacturers of washer fluid make a special California blend then? Cause if you go look at some MSDS sheets the fluid has methanol in it.
