I have another 500 miles or so on my test tune from quad... So far I am still surge free and extremely pleased! I have felt it try and surge around 20% TPS on very light accel around 1400-1500RPMs, and I have tried to make it worse... Holding the throttle constant, trying to stay in the 'surge window', but I cant make it happen.... As soon as I think it is going to happen it is fine again! have towed light empty single axle trailers up to around 35k gross on PL03 with no problems whatsoever...

Extremely pleased... Great job Quad!

Set your can min & pump min to 30, bet it smooths out the surge.
I don't have the pulse.

Oh, sorry. Repeat after me "Note to self, get a Pulse."

you are only getting half of the experience of the adrenaline without the pulse
I gotta try some of these tweaks as the comp seems a lot weaker then the 2000a test tune i was using

Loaded the new software on the old box and no surge!

Pretty happy with it. Gonna give it some more testing to make sure it's 100% gone, but in a short drive I tried to repeat the surge in a few known areas and couldn't.

Looking good so far though...

I ran around this weekend and it was real pleasant until Sunday night I had to tow, and the nightmare returned. Has anyone had to send in and get firmware update yet if so did it work?

Yesterday I updated to the Comp 10/21 tune. I found it to have a noticeable increase in bottom end power. Makes it much easier to light up the tires from a roll on. There also seems to be zero fuel on, off, on, off, on, off in the higher PL's above 2500 rpm. On the old tune my truck did it a little but nothing major, this tune is truly smooth as stock on my truck.

How do the tunes line up?

Obviously the 1000 is the least aggressive then the 2000 is next then the 3000 then what the comp or dyno?

As far as the 10/21 updates what is everybody using?

Also as far as getting the pulse updated without a laptop has anyone cut the wires and put a quick connect so they can take it in and out of the truck easy or are you guys pulling the wires everytime? I havent updated mine yet because of the wires what a PITA. I guess borrowing a laptop would be the easiest huh?

Laptop is the only way to go. I had to remove my pulse for a memory update, it was a pain!

I put a Neutrik 5 pole XLR on the cable.
Neutrik XLR
Pulse is in/out on 2 sec.
Its a common connector for proaudio (ie mic conector) and pro lightning eq.(ie DMX protocol)

I did this. Put on these on. Makes it so much easier. I do not have a laptop, so this was also much cheaper.

Thats exactly what I was thinking about. Thanks.
I wish Quadzilla would have thought about this before they started production. Maybe on their next series

Any body know the order of the tunes?
