Your not alone! But with ALL the tunes available for custom settings, we can see the differences and get a feel for what settings change (and how much) from ADR1000 to Max performance program.

Got to update this morning so far so good I did not get to tow just bobtail. The tune seems excellent, nice crisp power, very strong. I only tried the 1000 series so far, but my truck always liked the 1000s better, it rained app. 3" and is supossed to snow 4-8 with 50 mph wind so it will be a few days until I get to tow but will post when it happens.

How long is it supposed to take for the high idle to fully kick in? It only went to 900 rpm for the 5 or 6 min i ran it just now..

If the truck was stone cold, it will take awhile. What do you have the time delay setting at?

The grid heaters cycling is what pulls the idle down.

Time delay? It says 2 min, which it did, but it only ramped to 900..the grid heaters were running, but the rpms were only droping 50 or so..not 300..

You'd have to search the acrhives from last winter, but I'm almost positive it's because the engine is under load.

Quad said that the high idle will only go to 900 until the heater grids stop cycling, then it will ramp up to 1200rpm. I had that problem last winter.

I like the fuel stretch on max, with timing on 10*. Crazy lowend.

It's so much smoother than the old setup. I still get a slight surge but not enough to get it bucking. I'm hoping more progress is still in the works.

Quad said he will not stop until he has tunes for everyone surge free, I think he is keeping up with his end of the bargain. The latest tunes seem to eliminate alot of issues. I'm loving my new found smoothness/power.
