IMO, hooking it to the battery will make a better connection anyway.
Yeah i think it would be a much better way to get power. wish i would have seen those papers earlier but oh well.

Don't tap....solder. And do before & after test run...to confirm same readings at a set speed/OAT/wind condition. Should work ok!

Quads probe will read quicker (less delay) but should read same temps.

Are you wanting two gauges off one probe........ or Quads gauge off your probe??

I guess either will work. Yes use solder to connect quads harness to your probe leads.
I've read it has worked well for others but I've never done it myself.

I just drilled and tapped so the AD is reading the front 3 cylinder temps.

thats exactly what i did today. the install went nice and easy. seems that my EGT's are really high tho like when cruising on PL05 or PL06. and i can roll alot of smoke now. they come pre programmed with the 1000 tune right?

So when i free rev my truck up past 2500 rpm it feels like I'm hitting a rev limiter, cutting out . But on level 1 i can rev to 3K and no problems. What's the deal i tried all the levels up to Pl10 and it does it. This is on the 1000 tune.
Is there an update for this?

There is nothing wrong with it.
Quad has stated that when free revving, there is little or no boost present so the Adrenaline will not fuel properly, thus causing the "cutting out".
That's kinda the short version, but I think you can get the general idea.

BTW, to answer ur other question, PL1 is timing only, so there is no fueling added to make the truck cut out. Wire tap fueling does not occur until PL3.

So Justin sent me some new buttons for my Pulse and i replaced all of them.
The down button stopped working and i had to replace it again and now it works.
Other than the button issue the unit is great.
I am monitoring my trans on two gauges, the hot line on my Isspro gauge and the test port with the Pulse. they are different by about 30-40*.
