Oh yeah! Smarty does tuning in different ways than what quad does. Quad adds x% of fuel to the set parameters set into the software of the ecm. Smarty rewrites the software in the ecm & together the Adrenaline adds power on top of the Smarty programming. I can make lowend power so aggressive, to the point where my truck wants to jump like a lowrider in a Dr. Dre video, awesome!

Open the Pulse and scotchbrite the surface where the buttons touches the circuitboard. They washed the circuitboard with some stuff that made a light coat after the wash. Quad scotchbrites the units before delivery nowadays.

Sounds like it time to pickup a adrenaline now. The surging is gone and the pulse issue's are fixed.
Did they get the overheating issue fixed where the box itself was actually melting?

I had a few questions about this setup. I am going to purchase a adrenaline and PCM. I was curious about the fuel pressure and transmission temp gauge hook ups. Does everything come included or does it pull that info from the ECU?

The new Comp tune is so smooth that I was running around on PL 5 all morning and didn't even realize it till I pulled in to park. On the old tunes, I ran around most of the time on PL1, timing only. The old tunes did not surge on my truck but they weren't as smooth or as powerful as this new comp tune.
Good Job Quad!

mine still has some surging, but i really hate to send it back in because it really isnt that bad, but i am loving the custom tuning. part of my problem might be that i drive around on high levels all of the time

I also took the little buttons out and "rolled" back the cups, then ran the silicon chip over some 400G sandpaper. No more button problems

Can some one help me figure out this custom tuning cause when I uploaded the 10/21 comp tune. I only have 4PL's and it's like I am making my custom tune from scratch, all my options are 0, PL's 4. I can change the settings and it works but I know nothing at all as far as the timing, tps %, canbus%, min and max, Time scalin, Boost scalin. If some of you can post what you are running for a tune, something as close to the Comptune as possible. Or help me figure out what does what.
Thanks Matt

You need to hit the restore facory defaults to start with. Then you will have the COMP tune.
Or you may be in Tune 1 or Tune 2 right now? I don't know but, go in and select tune and select the Factory Tuning. That will also revert back to the Comp Tune if that is what you have loaded unless you saved over it.

I selected the factory defaults and it felt like all i was running on was the injectors, no box. I was running the 2000a tune before you updated the new ones and I can tell my truck is back on the stock settings.
