Adrenaline=Dead Vp44
ok so i am probally gonna buy an adrenaline here in the next few days but im paranoid about taping the VP44 wire. has anyone had their Vp44 die when taping with the adrenaline? i dont beleive my VP44 is weak seein it was replaced at around 50k but when i first got my guages in i was reading a steady 8psi and about 5psi at WOT so not sure if there is any damage to it from the low pressure. also would i burn up my tranny fast with the adrenaline on lets say the 2000 tunes?
Any and all input it greatly appreciated!
Josh
oh adn i now have the airdog 100 so i have that problem solved

I dont think your VP will die unless it is damaged. When I put my TST comp on I also put guages on and when I left the performance diesel (they installed everything) I was droping my FP to 0 so I drove right back and installed a FASS. No telling how long my FP had been that low. About three months latter my VP went out, but I am convinced I was on borrowed time anyway. Now I have a new VP and no less than 11PSI even at WoT

It's hit and miss on the VP. Mine's been taped for 3 years now (knock on wood) and all is good, so far. Most of those were with the Comp.
Also if you are that worried about it then don't do it.

Just installed my adreneline and pulse tonight. All I have to say is holy explitive. Not really a horsepower junky, but this think sure wakes up the ole farm truck.
Tapping the pump wire was not my favorite feeling in the world, but I would feel a lot better without the T Taps, Dont trust them.

I've been running the Adrenaline on my STOCK truck for about 6 months now (even made 6 passes at the drag strip this weekend). Tranny and TC are holding up just fine. You're NOT going to grenade the TC and tranny just because you put an Adrenaline on your truck.
If you use your head and excercise some restraint, your tranny would/could hold up well for an X amount of time.
As far as the VP is concerned..........THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES. Just do what you can to prolong it's life, whatever that may be..........good fuel pressure, lubricants, never driving the truck more than 50' at a time, whatever tickles ur fancy.

I put my Adrenaline/Pulse on last week, first pump tap box, had a smarty before, my VP44 has 90k on it, no problems yet. I didn't even put the smarty on until my pump had probably 80k on it. Just keep fuel to it and cross your fingers. I think most of them dying when hooking up a box are a coincidence. Like someone else already said, this thing will find your weak points in a hurry. But boy is it fun!

Its sarcasm. He just means use whatever pixie dust, hokus pokus, hair of newt, eye of toad method of VP44 protection you see fit.
