Give Vulcans site a visit! http://www.vulcanperformance.com Eric (Vulcan) will answer any fuel system question you can come up with. On top of that, nobody can beat his prices on gauge packages, or the endless supply of fittings he makes.

I just received a new braided SS gauge line from him today, as well as the coolest looking isolator I have seen. I'll post some pics when installed.

I used to brass fittings and mounted mine to the hood. It ain't pretty but I sure get some looks. In fact it is pretty industrial looking, but it does the trick.

Sorry, I didn't know you didn't know.

The Vulcan "kit" is a 6ft pressure hose with a Schrader fitting and a shutoff valve at one end and a nice silicone filled gauge at the other end.

Now we know we both didn't know what we should know.

BTW my real name is Chuck Norris....

Hillcountry, do you have pics of that setup? I'd be interested to see how it looks.

I could take pics but it's such a simple setup that is silly to actually show.

You will see a rubber hose going from pump to firewall, then a gauge sticking out of ashtray.

Mounting the fp guage on the hood is drag racer style! An a-pillar would be close to the firewall too =P I would like to add that if you're going to run fuel into the cab a cut off is a good idea, just in case. The valve would be run almost shut in order to dampen the pulses from the vp44 and extend the life of the guage =P

I do like Valv's approach though

The vulcan kit comes with a valve on it if I remember right.

A needle valve or snubber is essential for dampening pulses from the VP. A needle valve also acts as a shut of if the gauge or line starts to leak, which should not happen if you installed the gauge correctly and routed the line properly.
