About This Volant?

a few questions, just got it today and i've got some questions...

is this thing pre oiled, i know my k&n was but it was soaked? and i called the place where i got it (an ebay dealer) and he said he "THINKS" its oiled, so i just wanna make sure.

what do you do about getting it to draw air from the cowl? do you just use a 4" hole saw and use a piece of 4" hose to get it from the box to there?

well that's all for now, thanks guys.

All these aftermarket oiled filters come pre-oiled from the manufacture. I think you have to drill the 4'in hole in the cowling if you want the extra air. It should of came with destructions Drew. I would recommend calling Volant.

Instructions are not that necessary on something as easy as an intake setup. Unless there are sensors to move and special bolt locations you just loosen two clamps and and ten min later you're done.

ya that's true, wasn't hard at all. i called volant and he said that yes it is pre-oiled, it looks and sounds great, still got my loud whistle, i don't think i changed much from my BHAF, maybe a little louder if anything. and about the cowl, he basically said that it's there just for looks but i could run a piece of 4" hose from there to the cowl.

bigblue, you can tell me this cause your scotty has the cowl induction too right? well, what did you do, did you just cut a hole with a hole saw and that's it? it'll be ok to do so right, there's nothing behind there but air space right?

and this one takes up more space so i think the most dreaded thing now will be getting my oil filter off. i was always able to get my arms in there, but now i don't know what i'll do. any tips for me?

thanks for the help guys!
