about to drop some coin on the 12v
well after some reading and thinking and PMing (thanks for everyones help) Here is what I think I am gonna do to my 97
Gauges pyro, boost tranny temp
kill kdp
AFE stage2
370 injectors
laser cut DV's
adjust timing to 16.5*
100 plate
AFC spring kit
3k gsk
Super40 turbo
4 inch exhaust
Goerend VB and Tripple disc (tuck just had japser 3yr reman installed)
Does this sound like a decent set up...I want tp try and make around 400 clean hp that can tow and not have to worry about EGT

you may want a 10 plate for towing. and laser cuts may be a bit overkill. jim fulmer ran well into the 600's on stock 181's if im not mistaken but an 40 and 370 should make an excelent tow rig. it's seems to be an older combo that has proven quite efective

well putting a big red X on the DV's save me some money if it is infact overkill. I have been going back and forth between the 10 and 100 plate..just not sure yet. How much aprox power would the above combo make say with and with out the dv's?

the #100 plate will work fine towing as long as you are not just stupid hauling. i haul up to 30k gross with a #100 plate, 370's and a hx35 with a 14cm exhaust housing 215 pump. it was a towing machine, i could get it hot anytime i wanted too but it was just playing. i could tow just fine with it, but i did have a 5 speed.

an 100 plate would work however on a truck setup intentionaly for towing, and also being a little more user friendly (will other people drive your truck) a 10 would probably be more suited. I would but a 10 plate and 3k springs and then pm northslope and have a 100 made or make one yourself out of your stocker and try both. a 100 forward will bury a pyro fast fyi

Again it has been said, but for towing, the ten is your best bet if you dont like to watch the pyro alot..

If you're towing, you forgot one thing...VALET Switch!
I wouldn't be without it. Cuts my power from 360/860 down to 250/650. Really keeps other people from hot rodding, too. People think I run nitrous when I flip that switch to Kill

Feels like a stock 24v, really All the power comes with RPM. It works really great for towing though.
My power graphs are here.
It will show you wat my valet a full power runs look like
