It may be just me, but whenever I see a truck rolling by with Banks emblems on it, I think to myself "pff, he doesn't know anything about diesels." lol..

This isn't necessarily being fair to them. Their gauges might not be the best, but they work.

All their other products are pretty good-- they work and work as advertised.

I think the only legit beefs with Banks are 1) bang/buck, and 2) insistance that they don't void warrantee.

There are tons of people (admittedly somewhat ignorant) who are plenty happy with their Banks products.

look at my old photos

so i dont know anything about diesels? I tend to agree. but think of it as the alphabet.. banks is synonomous with everything, so it comes as first choice to many... only cause it sticks out and has all this publicity.. especially on a vehicle that hasnt had many options like a 12 v.. well till recently or till research occurs taht is..

You can blow the tranny with your truck completely stock

Maybe a little Rick

I know of several people that like the Banks "system" approach and think its weird that I am doing things myself, my way. And if they are happy like that I am glad they are happy.

And like Justin said, their products do what they claim, there are other options that are better suited for some people, but there is a market for Banks, lots of people don't really want to research and learn, just buy a kit for 150 more hp and forget it.
