95 12v mods fuel plate,afc ???'s
i just recently purchased a nice 95 12v 4x4 from down south with a clean body. i have spent the 1st month repairing all the little cosmetic things that go hand in hand with a 17 year old truck. truck is stock ,with a rebuilt transmission w/shift kit. i added a complete 4" exhaust. keep in mind this is a work/farm/daily driver so it's not a toy nor do i want it ti be a race truck. i do want better performace though, it's a dog and i constantly have my foot in it just to get it to move. i'm ready to mod the pump for some added performance. i have been told to slide the stock fuel plate and afc all the way forward, and turn the star wheel up some. i have also been told to install a #10 fuel plate in the stock location and add a 4k gsk. can someone give me some insight on both of these mods and what i can expect? this would be greatly appreciated. pete

Like Don T mentiomed...The 10 plate will keep the EGT in check and a set of 3k or 4k governor springs would be prefect truck to use around the farm...I know how gutless the 95 is in stock form....Mine was stock when I bought it..

The more power and more aggressive fuel plate you add, the less likely the stock rebuilt tranny with the shift kit is going to last. Just remember, you can take your stock plate and grind any plate profile you want. May save you a little coin for mods down the road.
