66/74/14 ????????
I am trying to plan ahead on what to do with my truck. I was wanting to do twins real bad, but I want to compete in 2.6 sled pulling. If I did go with twins, I could only pull in the run-what-ya-brung braggin rights class. So I was wondering how this 66/74/14 turbo would run? I will still be daily driving. And what size of sticks to get it to light? I am getting a 4000# double disk clutch put in on Friday. Then next will be sticks, and then turbo, so trying to figure out a game plan. I have never pulled before and will try to hit a few(3 or so) around here, but I may get addicted to it so that's why I am thinking on leaving the twin idea. Any thoughts or ideas?

I was happy running anything under 200 with that turbo, or even the 71 wheel on the other. They are a bear to drive in the lower rpm but not to bad with a standard. It will make towing pretty tuff as you eyes will be glued to the pyro.

64/74/14 is a Silver 64.
I am running a Silver 64 on my 12 valve. Its a daily driver and I have towed with it. I am currently bulding twins because my new camper weighs in at almost 12k and the Silver 64 just doesnt cool good enough.
NOW,
When I had my 7k camper it did great! I towed all over the USA and never had a problem.

I have a 12 valve that has been ported and polished. When I ran a 62/65/14 it would spool aroud 1400-1500. I then had the head ported and it would spool 100-150 rpms sooner.

my 66 would light at about 1850, but once it lit it was on for sure. would go at least 150's but no more than 200's if your gonna drive it. mines driveable, but not fun on the street down low
