64/71/14 & 200's
I'm trading a guy my 62/71/14 for his 64/71/14. Plan was to give the 64 to my brother & put his 62/71 on my truck [long story]. I am thinking about trying the 64/71/14 on my truck to see how it works with my Mach 5's [200hp]. Anyone run this combo? Hows it spool? egts?

Either way, when it lights, it goes! Just depends on your driving style and what you are trying to get out of it I guess.

Shop truck has a 64/71/13 with some 150's right now and has run 250's as well. He has 4.10 gears, auto and 285 tires. Spools a little lazy with the big sticks off the line. The 150's do better as you can get into the throttle a bit.

I got a pretty close setup and I don't mind it at all. The turbo is alittle slow to 10psi but then its pretty much instant to 50psi. What elevation are you at? At 3500ft its usually spooled by 1400-1500 RPM and between gears you got ,a bit of delay till it gets spooled again, maybe a second or so. Hows that compare to your 62? It was nice when it was -30C it was instant by the time the throttle hit the floor it was spooled. With my injectors the egts stay in check pretty good. With the Adr comp2 and stretch set to 2000uS it can get alittle warm but not bad, by the time I reach the end of 4th the egt's are at ~1400F and then in 5th your going pretty darn fast by the time there up there again at least 100mph. I haven't really towed much just a 5000lb camper and it had no problem you can go pretty much as fast as you want. The only problem is, when 3rd gear is to slow and 4th is to fast I pretty much had to stay in third. In fourth with not much for RPM's it was pretty hard to get it spooled but you can easily drive around that.
Hope that helps some.

How do you like that 62/71/14 with the 200 hp sticks? I am planning on going with either 200's or 220's, and keeping my 62/71/14 and only going to twins if I have to.

Its not bad at all. It stays cool until 3500rpm, then it gets hot fast. I've seen 1800* on hard runs. It gets hot if I get in the fuel before it spooled, but other than that, Its a good combo.
