I like the Redline and or TST comp stack with the old style timing boxes that hook to the back of the pump , we'll find out more on the heartbreaker superflow dyno next month

great thread guys. I'm wanting to get on the dyno and see just what my setup will do. anyone think I'm over 600? Paulb, I have just the S300g on top of my S400, I see about 1300-1350 EGT's, mind sharing your's with me? I'm just wondering If I'm running hot for the setup. This is also at 70psi boost, which I want to bring back down to 60psi.

Rodram, did you do anything to the WG on the 300. If not you should be able to get it out to about 7/8". This should make a diff IMO. The stock WG hole is pretty small. Do you know what your drive pressure is. I have been kicking around the idea of this setup. I think it would make a killer towing setup and still have decent top end flow.

It's a stock S300G, I did get an adjustable wast gate head for it, but haven't put it on yet. I talked to the guys at HTT and they think it is running a little hot. I talked with them about making the wastegate bigger, but they told me to try a few diff psi settings on the wastegate first. I have no idea what my drive pressures are.

The adjustable WG may help, but IMO haveing the WG inlarged will help even more. You should try and get a reading on your drive pressure. I'm willing to bet that at 70psi they are pretty high.

rod ram, i dont have twins but i know that yours are running very hot, especially since you have a H2 cam. you should be seeing 1200 max. get the wastegate figured out, there is lot of power and cooling left in your twins. from what i can see it seems they are running very inefficient

Mach 6 and 7 trucks that are all dailed in can run as high as 1600 at the end of the 1/4 mile in some cases. Elevated tracks out West play a part in this.

Even with a cam installed, the EGT can climb up there eventually.

Edge COMP boxes on the 5/5 setting injects fuel later that is under less pressure and this contributes to the heat/smoke.

The less pressure might play into it some Don, But I'm right at sea level. If I don't have the TST on, I can't even hit 1100 on EGT's the guy I talked with at HTT sayed 60-70psi ir right where most of the S300/S400 set ups run at. I do think my top turbo is restricting me either the wastegate being set to high, or the wastegate holes being to small.

Sounds like you have a sweet set up. Did you dyno yet? There is one not too far from Rips place that seems pretty good for him and others.

Lets get it tuned in before the spring rolls around.

I love the Bend area. Wish I had a few thousand acres out that way......

I haven't Dynoed it yet. I hope to very soon. Byron Haner knows some small place around here that has a dyno that a few other trucks and us are going to give a try. Yeah, the Bend area is beautiful

I would agree that most 300/400 setups are around 70 psi, but I'm willing to bet those are 62 compressor wheels. If you've got a stock s300g your comp wheel is only 57mm and isn't capable of moving the same amount of air as a 62. I'm sure your aware of this, I'm just stating the obvious. With the smaller wheel you may be out of it's efficiency range. Do you know what your bottom turbo is making for boost? This will help also. Knowing your drive pressure will help even more.

My combo put up 677rwhp on Piers dyno. I made about four runs in the 670 area back to back. With my truck the drag box ran the best at the higher rpm's. I run my truck daily on the comp box. I've heard that the red line box stacked with the ez works the best but the power comes on a bit jerky. The drag box seems to work smoother. I didn't like the part about when I used a drag box and have to re-prime my injector pump after a wot blast. Some guys just put the truck into idle and rev your motor to get around the stalling thing. A comp box you don't have this issue and you also make the same power. I think that the top VP truck has made over 700rwhp using mach 7's, on #2. Some truck pick-up power running #7, some run better on mach 6's. Running big sticks there is will always be smoke trails that follow you. You should see my truck when its cold out. Man it makes semi truck drivers drool.

The Pro Street 66 with this TST/Smarty seems to be pretty nasty setup, with just the smarty on the drivability is real good with the 66 and when the tst is on it pulls hard. The only thing is that the TST fuels real eratic and that pump shudder seems kind of ruff. I'd like to know what everybodys opinions are on whats the best Smarty SW# and TST# when there both stacked for the most power?
