FYI, just because one shop builds something for another shop, doesn't mean you'll get the same parts and setup. If Columbus does something custom for DDP, they may not sell that same setup out their door. A lot of businesses that do work for other businesses have a handshake on not selling "their R&D work" out the front door.

I recommend scheid's injector pumps as well as peirs'. Im not a big fan of the industrial injection pumps.
DDP has some good injectors as far as atomization is concerned. They tend to smoke less and make good power. You might be able to use smaller injectors with a larger injector pump and retain that good atomization with increased pressure. Large injectors make for a lot of smoke and you cant do much about idle smoke. Going with a large pump should make a valet switch a nice option.
a cam will be a must for helping spool and control EGT.
I dont think youll see much benefit from intake or exhaust manifold mods. maybe faster spool with the exhaust.
Studs and o-rings will be necessary. I wouldnt port the head for that horsepower level unless you went for a really large turbo. You will need the 60lb springs though.
a built transmission like a DTT or goerends is a must if you have an auto.
Honestly Id find a diesel specialist near that races and go with their recommendations. Better to set up something thats proven to work than to try to dial in all this stuff on your own.
you don't need any special or big injection pump or to have it tuned by any shop to hit 600, a plate of your choice, 10 is pretty good for all around. a set of governor springs 3k will be plenty, and set of ddp 140hp sticks will be plenty to get you to 600, and then the turbo or turbo's of your choice.
