6.0 vgt mounted up
#21
turbo is here and on the truck. i had to make a custom oil return line and rebend the downpipe and also had to do some intercooler tube work but its all mounted up and ready to go ! Also had to remove the shock tower and put a flat plate in place of it and use a shorter shock becasue the turbo is large in overall size. the vanes are in the full open position right now and even at 4000 rpm in neutral i cant build any boost at all...seems to flow very well in the open position and that thing whistles like a jet. Very excited to see how well it works with the vanes closed and with the controller. pics coming soon

i havent actually gotten to drive it yet. the turbo is all hooked up and the truck is driveable but the vanes are stuck in the fully open position. the fleece controller is not on it yet. they have the truck at the moment and said they needed to get the program set up in order to be able to control the vanes. but even when the vanes are in the full open position it really takes off once it spools up. as for cost - i paid $140 for the 6.0 turbo (ebay). and about $1500 in machining (fleece). and $800 to $900 in the controller. not to mention all the misc. costs - bolts, gaskets, adapters, shorter shock...etc. it has taken quite some time to get it all mounted up correctly. hoping fleece has the controller set up by next week im thinking its gonna be pretty sweet!
