maybe fifth gear came loose on the shaft? you may have to pull the tcase and the rear cover off the tranny and tighten the **** out of the nut like with an air hammer or something like that. Its kinda a patch but seams to work for a long time

i already did that a month ago , and this is a totaly differnt deal , it only falls outa gear when im off the throtle , im thinkn it might be the drive shaft carrier bearing but mine doesnt look that bad so i figure id see if anyone else had an opion , i thinkn the added vibration is just enough to walk it out of gear

why would synchros make it fall out of gear , i could see if it was grinding or somthin going in to gear , but it doesnt , it shifts perfect but it falls out of gear

You could have a few culprits. All of these will cause the same symtom. Sychros, they aren't allowing a full movement and gear lockup, carrier bearing, and you probably won't feel it, Or the most likely is the bearings on the mainshaft allowing the shaft to flex inside the the trans. Any way you look at it it's work. But change the carrier first and see if it gets better. Might be able to put off the rebuild.
