5897 RPMS??? Stock motor w/Juice

Just recently i was looking though the records section on my Attitude monitor and the rpms caught my eye at 5897. I never remember ever redlining it that bad, have revved it up to redline when teasing my cousin, but don't think it went that high. Usually i have a very light foot since my trans. is still stock.
So is this even possible, or is my juice messed up?
And wouldn't there be a governor on that?
I don't think its possible but what would that do to the motor?

The edge just goofed up and gave you a false reading... you would know for sure if you ever spun that rpm

Your motor would have been junk at that kind of engine speed. Only the p pump boys run engine speeds that high and are usually highly modified.

You'd probably have a nice "inspection" hole in the side of your block if you revved it that high on stock bottom end, sounds like the edge goofed.

Like Mike said, the few p-pump boys that turn 5k+ have bottom end work to keep things together...

just a little heads up on the monitors my buddy has a edge/attitude on his f150 and thinks his truck can do 12s now because that is what the monitor said he can do.

You would have never made it that high, and the block would have a couple of skylights.

Well the time for the runs, is judged by the tire size, which you have to drive forward 3 rotations, then divide it. Something like that but it gives you a number to let the monitor judge the speed. If you never adjusted it then that would throw off the time it gives you.
