500-600HP Rig

Well Im trying to put together a combinition of part to reach 500-600HP that I can occasionally tow with, us at the drag strip and still drive everyday. So far im thinking mach 5's, II Silver Bullet, II Hotrod VP, ATS pulse manifold, Helix 2 Camshaft, F1 springs, ARP head studs, O-ring head, FASS pump, and a SBC. Wondering if this is doable or would you suggest twins. Already run a Hot Juice with Attitude, AFE Stage 2 Intake, and a 4 inch exhuast. and would this set up be able to handle, Water/Meth or NOS. Any imput would help thanks.

Sounds like a good setup for 600. It could handle W/M but N02 is a different story.

Looks line a winner to me. I've seen a truck with most the above mods do 565 with the mach 5's and 600 with the mach 6's on an auto.

Firerings at least. Just depends on how much you use. And you have to set up correctly so it doesn't freeze water/meth.

Does that mean you should use them at different stages, and not spray at the same time

Talking to Doug (Jetpilot), running a wire tap box with a HRVP becomes redundent. He was saying with a HRVP, run smaller injectors (say M4's) with a wire tap, or run bigger (M6's) with no wire tap. At a certain point, the HRVP and an SO VP are basically on par. If you haven't bought the IP yet, stay with the stocker and run both big sticks and Juice. Save the $500 on the HRVP and upgrade your SBC to a dual disc.

I think elevation should play a part in your decision of twins or single. If you're up pretty high in CO it may be a lag pig with that big single. Just my$0.02.

if you wanna be able to tow get the twins. the only reason BD's 500+ rig can tow well is because he has a small 62mm turbo that will spool well and he has W/M to keep the temps down, and he will also tell you he turns the TST off on heavy loads.

towing with 600hp on a single is very risky because the temps can get up there pretty quick with a heavy load and any type of grade. if you wanna be able to tow with 500hp or more you will need the twins.

i have to keep my TST off to tow with my B1 and i still found myself letting off the pedal on some grades to keep it below 1200* and i was only towing a small trailer of 3k or less.
