Not much a Smarty or an Ez and should last a long time but bigger injetors and Edge comps, & TST will put a hurting on a stock clutch.

anything over 330 rwhp will demolish ur stock clutch.. if u are hard on it, if not then u can have about 400 and daily drive it ok if u dont abuse it.... ask me how i know...

i belive anyone with anything over stock is going to be abusing a stock clutch. a stock clutch can handle probably an EZ no problem super chip probably yes but i wouldn't push it too far. i blew my stock clutch with a tst pm2 and thats only 90hp 250 tq so

How many dumps @ 2k in 2nd could a stock clutch handle in, oh lets say a 96, with only the fuel plate and afc in full forward? Trying to figure out if it's my clutch or my throwout bearing that's acting up.... Aint saved up enough for a southbend yet

I'm guessing not many... What plate do you have?
I'm like Rick, I am driving with a setup most guys will say will destroy a stock clutch, and have been for 50k, with lots of light towing, and I'm fine, it's all in how you drive.
What about a Valair?

On my 01 HO, the stock clutch held fine with an Edge comp, but when I installed RV275 injectors, it started slipping.
If you are going to upgrade your clutch, get yourself a little pad on your horsepower goals since it is a slippery slope. South Bend Clutch makes an awesome product and has the best customer service and stands behind their product period.

My Uncle has a CTD 03 that he runs smarty 9 all day long and has since i can remember.
It will moderitly slip if you get on it in 3rd or 4th gear, half throttle.
But if you hard boost from 2nd threw 6th I cant even feel it jump or slip.
Im not shure what would cause this, but I believe if you keep hamering on it you will cook the plates real quick and the stories on here tell the same story. Keep it cool until you get more then a 1000 ft/lb clutch in her.
Southbend will be going in her soon enought!!!!! then the ricers around here will be tasting the smog monster.

on my 02 it would slip with RV275 injectors and a comp on 3-3 setting running hard in 3rd and 4th gears, normal driving it was fine at that setting, I don't know exactly what hp that translates to.
