5" MBRP installed...
Well, my 5" MBRP showed up on Friday, so a friend and myself decided to tackle the install on Saturday...
First, I'd like to thank UPS for denting/damaging almost every pipe in the kit!! However, being 5" I don't think the small dents will have any effect on performance and the ends of the pipe that were damaged we fixed with some pliers and a small ballpeen (sp?) hammer.
Getting the oem exhaust out was simple with the help of a sawzaw. I must say the MBRP kit fits great!! I was a little worried about it fitting at the crossmember, rear diff., and spare tire... But no problems at all!!
Also, for those worried about the drone at speed, there is none. Don't get me wrong, it makes some noise going through the gears, but once at speed it's actually quiet... Much quieter than my 3.5" single shot on my turbo Buicks!!
A few side notes:
a.) I wish it was available in stainless. And I think even the aluminized kits should have stainless mufflers.
b.) The crush and kink style exhaust clamps sent with the kit (oem style) are not of quality in my opinion. You must use them 'cause they have the hangers welded to them, but I bought some nice band clamps from NAPA for sealing the joints better.
c.) If you also purchase a tip for the end you'll need to cut back the tail pipe so the tip doesn't stick out too far, or you'll be able to easily see the 5" pipe inside the tip. I got the 6" tip with mine.
d.) If I had to purchase another exhaust again... I'd do the 5" kit again!!! But in stainless if available!!!
Hopefully I'll be able to post some pics in the next day or two...

Did you install the muffler also? Mine is flo-pro brand and it came with a muffler but I didn't install it. I just put a piece of 5" pipe there instead. I love the way mine sounds. Just like you said, runnin down the road it's quiet.

OK.... So how do you post photos on this site???? There is no "post management" icon when making a post, like most other forums... And when I go to my gallery there is no prompt for adding photos to it???
