Re:5-inch exhaust on Ebay?

I just installed the 5" system from City Muffler on E-Bay. I like the loose hangers and that is how I mounted my 4" Jannety system. I got a 5" stainless tip from E-Bay for $30.00. The fit was great. It did have a little extra pipe to trim, I think this is a good thing. My turbo an H2E spools way faster smoke that has been a problem is all but gone.

I bought a resonator and Lap clamps from Rip Rook and they worked perfectly. I just wish I had done this months ago.

Re:5-inch exhaust on Ebay?

I ordered a 5" from city muffler yesterday. Glad to hear that you like it. Hopefully mine will be here tomorrow so I can get it on Fri. morning. I've been looking for one for a while, and this is the first one that I found for a price that I would pay.

Holsteinman, I did the same thing for my jeep(piece it together) because I wanted a custom system and everybody wanted alot of $$ to do it. It took me about 5 hours to get it done. I bet that guy wouldn't do it again, because I sure wouldn't. I don't know how many times I mocked pipe up, getting angles right, going back and forth under the jeep. I have no problem paying what "I" believe is a fair price for an exhaust system now. If I had a tubing bender, it'd be a different story, but that's major $$.

first of all why would anyone hear want 5 inch exhaust.....

1) its quieter than a 4"

2) turbo boost wont go up as fast and 1 psi lower than 4"

3) everything is in the way

SADNESS :

TWINS!!!!! With a 5" outlet on the bottom turbo

1) I NEVER said it didn't sound good...in fact it sounds low and MEAN!

2) Turbo boost was slower on the way up with my single charger....(HX40-16)

3) I wonder if I will get my spare tire back under there :'(

Re:5-inch exhaust on Ebay?

I wish I had the money for a 5" system. I know it's overkill, but I heard one and it sounded down right mean. I need a job. :'(

Re:5-inch exhaust on Ebay?

I put my 5 inch on tonight. Took about two hours, and I had to cut about a foot off. Everything fit well, and I had no problems. The sound is awesome! Sounds similar to a Semi now. Some people said their boost was slower, but mine seems to be faster. Not as much added power as putting on the EZ, but I can definately tell a difference. Went into town to try it out, and scared a guy in a ricer. ;D ;D Made my night.
