i have nothing on garrett. a tranny, headgasket, and pushrod dont come close to multiple driveshafts, trannies, transfer case, axles, u-joints, scored cylinder walls. he is just able to get his back together quicker and run it again.

Well maybe the getting it back together quicker but it seems yours is down alot (no offense) and that is important too (it would be for me anyways) but like I said it should run like a champ when you get it all back together.

well mine wasnt down alot til i went to bigger sticks and turbo. then i broke a tranny, 4 weeks to get the money and find a tranny guy to build it.

head gasket same thing, 4 weeks to get the money together, have the machine work done, 2 weeks waiting on parts, and a few days to do the work. ive learned alot tho so i dont look too bad upon it, and i know that each time it breaks, i build it better. i could have fixed my head gasket for $100, but instead i had the head entirely rebuilt, o-rings, better gasket and studs...therefore making it $2k

got it running, cost me $23 for 2 pushrods and a rocker arm support pedestal. i found one had a slight crack in it so i just ordered a new one. truck runs great. checked, and re-checked the valve lash, no valve noise anymore, no gurgling exhaust pipe now. havent gotten on it too much, maybe later on ill give it a 3/4 throttle blast.

its kinda like getting throw off the bull. takes awhile to get back on and start bucking again
