5.9 for Off-Road use
I am in the process of building my second cummins powered vehicle. It will be a tube chassis vehicle on tractor tires for offroad use. My questions are:
Would you run a 93 VE eng or a 97 P-pump engine?....I have both
I want this truck to have a much response as possible but am thinking of pulling with it as well so would like 450 or so out of it....twins or single and which ones?
Anything else I should do to it while the engine is being rebuilt?
I was going to post this in off-road but most of the questions will draw on the vast power knowledge in this section. I look forward to seeing what you guys would do
Kevin
PS: Truck will be about 5000 lbs and be an auto

I was thinking of doing the 97 that way the parts are the same between my Crewcab and the Offroader.
What plate? Injectors? Should I take some of the stuff off the tow vehicle and upgrade it? So many questions and only one winter

I would definetly use the VE pumped engine, that 97 engine is garbage , the best thing you can do with it , is strap it on a pallet and send it up here for me to properly dispose of it.
