With a standard, hold the brake with your right heal and feather the throttle with your right toes. Use your left foot to work the clutch.
hold the brake, rev it up to 2500-3k, slip the clutch to build boost (i usually leave at about 25 psi - 30 psi) then let off the brake, dump the clutch/floor it all at the same time.
Now, you will only do this with a single disk once, and it might not even last that. If you upgrade to a DD, you can slip them for 3 seconds before you have to get completly engauge it.
Im runnin a sbc dd and have done a few launches. and it shoots off like a rocket!

BOY O BOY YEA you better have a good clutch, defintatly if you wanna do it more than once but, I usually floor the throttle (cuz i get excited) with my toe and hold the brake with my heal , then just barley slip the clutch to get boost i like to get about 40 psi but depending on you turbo and then dump the clutch and just keep er' nailed and hang on. (But i recommend after a few times check your u-joints)

i never hold the brake, at the track i can launch in 3rd gear 4x4 at 3000rpms without holding the brake and slipping the clutch out about until i get the truck moving, by the time the clutch is completely engaged im up to 30+ psi of boost and the truck is moving good. its not hard for me to do, but its hard to explain. i do everything based off the sound of the engine.
i just physically cant master the heal-toe move so i dont use the brake. ive tried and i either stall or slip too much.
with a tad more practice ill be able to get 60' times less than 2.2 with my 6spd

No need to hold it with the brake-free rev it against the limiter, which in my case is about 3500 rpm. Just floor it and let it rev, then let out the clutch when it's time to get moving. The part you'll need to experiment with is the rate at which you let the clutch out.

i have 35's and 3.54's in 2nd gear 4x4 and pulled a 2.2 and 2.3, but ive only been able to run about 5-6 times since the new clutch. after my new VP44 ill go back and try it again with full power instead of limping with a stuttering injection pump

I still have a 2wd, and do that only to do a burnout, but the mods might go into a 4x4 soon!
so everything stock under there will hold the power, except the clutch? thanks!

yea for the most part the 6spds with a 1 3/8" input will handle it. plus its with the clutch slipping just for a few seconds doesnt shock load the drivetrain like a hard boosted automatic launch does
