Exclamation 4K question, one click at a time!!!

got the 4k in, was idling high. RPM's sticking around 2 grand, so i've been adjusting the springs looser one click at a time as a pair. Its idling slow around 500 in park with air on, but the sticking is getting better, now it drops really slow around 1,500. im gonna loosen them up one more click each in the morning, but I believe they are only going to be two maybe 3 clicks past when they first get tight enough to even feel them click at all. does this sound right? Do yall think Im working in the right direction? any help please I wanna finish her up in the morning but I need some info. Im assuming get the throttle response right, then fine tune idle with low idle stop. just not sure if loosening is how to get it to quit hangin up, or if they are to loose? I have loosened them 4 clicks each and running after every time. They started off pretty d%^% tight, lost my digital caliper somehow. any help please, I know there are alot of smart cummins guys lurkin round here

I'm by far no expert, but that sounds right to me. Maybe bump your idle up now before you loosen it too far, just so you're keeping your idle in the vicinity of where it was.

How many clicks have you backed it off since initial installation?

A GSK is a governor spring kit- and it's for the P-pump that was installed in the trucks up to 98.4 - with the GSK you can get a wider power band, the truck will fuel heavily up to the number of rpms the gsk allows- 3000 for the 3k , 4000 for the 4k etc.
