4K gov.springs to 4K
Ok guy's I have heard some good and some bad and I want to debunk the miths so to speak. First off I know it's fairly inexpensive if you already have the 3k's to go to 4K's and I also know I have to do my valve springs which I realy want to do anyway. So another question is what are the benifits besides the obvious extra range in RR's,is there more power? is it more noticable? I have heard the the peddle gets real touchy? Is it really worth the trouble or should I look elswhere for more punch??

Lets the truck fuel to a certin RPM but will not net you full fuel all the way to 4K, pretty sure they are good for 3500-3800 R's. I would deff. say it is not to be overlooked.

The peddle in mine is not much diff than stock. Should full fuel to 4K and the 3k kit gives full fuel to 3k or else it would not be a gain with the 3k kit becose mine would free rev to 3300 stock but would fall off on power past 2750 under load and would not rev to 3k under heavy load. I realy like my 4k kit ( with 12 new 60lbs springs) and it makes it fun to drive.

just some quick info for ya. if you already have the 3k gsk like i did. you can just buy the 4k inner springs and add them to your 3k. i got mine from pure diesel power. think they were $15. good addition also.

I went from a 3k to 4k, and I noticed some harder pull even on the bottom end. Its not really much more touchy on my truck, but how tight you set them makes a difference.

Yea I'm thinking this is a mod worth doing I jst wondered if there was power in doing it? I also wondered if the added Rpm would be benifitial to spooling my turbo? I know it's a fairly cheap addition if you have a 3k already but I worry about doing this without the addition of the bigger valve springs, don't want to hurt anything when I get carried away!! LOL!! I hope to be putting an s400 under the turbo I have soon and I was also thinking about the benifits of more rpm with Twins???
