4BT performance ideas

Hey guys I'm new over here and I just picked up the 6BT's little brother, a 4BT to put in a ford Ranger. I was just wondering all of the little things you can do to a 4BT. Are the injector pumps similar to the early dodge style? I plan on running a 4" strait pipe and 3" intake pipe intercooled through a 500hp rated bar and plate intercooler. I don't want to go too crazy maybe hit 200hp or so. I'm gonna just toss it in the truck the way it is then run it for a while til i can find time to do performance mods. Should the stock lift pump be enough for my app. or should I look into an aux. electric? Thanks guys.

Yeah I will be interested in this too. I was thinking of putting one in my 74' IH Scout. I am told that any of the 12v injectors are fine with it, since its essentially the 6bt with two cyls chopped off?????

I was thinking 370's and an HX-30/9 turbo with it would make a nice setup.

There is a guy who floats around here that has one in a ranger and has run 11's I believe. I think he runs lucas prince of darkness injectors and an HX-35/12 on it. But I would think that would be a bit much on the street.

I have seen twins on one at Indy in a Jeep Wrangler. Looks mean.

The 4BT can be had with either the old rotary vane pump or a P7100. A four inch exhaust may be too big considering your power goals.

I'm pretty sure I have a rotary pump. You guys think 3" is enough to support 300hp or will 4" be just a bit safer? I dont want to build it twice in case down the road I decide to hotrod the thing out. 4" wouldn't hurt as long as I could fit it right? From my gasoline turbo days I always followed the plan of putting the biggest downpipe possible.
