But if the liftpump is weak, there will NOT be enough fuel available. So the result will be low HP numbers.
IDK, just thinkin out loud I guess.

My friend said the sputtering is due to a lack of fuel, he recommended a FASS fuel system with some larger injectors and that should clear up the issue. He explained it to me as the Edge COMP is putting almost too much demand on the fuel system, and the fuel system can't deliver that much fuel, so the engine is not getting as much as it should. A larger fuel system and injectors would clear that up.

That's kinda what I was thinkin. As you stated, factory rated at 235, you dynoed 248 with a box that claims 120hp. Now if you only gained 13hp with a fueling box that claims 120hp, and you think that the fuel delivery system is the problem, I would think that the truck would be spittin and sputterin and wouldn't even run right if you only gained 13hp and the fuel system is poor/bad. Get my point??
Thats the answer I was looking for!

Hink - You might be on to something here. I also now wonder if the wire tap is making contact. Maybe a bad MAP sensor connection to the Comp. But I still feel there is also a fuel delivery issue. The current L/P might be supplying enough at lower RPM, but not enough as the throttle is applied. It doesn't sound like the RPM really gets very high.

I think we're all typing to slow to keep up with each other. Refer to my post.....#17.
Yeah, I was just using those #'s for a generalization.
I made all my assumptions before I read the whole original post. I'd say to change out the fuel system with a "new and improved" version and go from there.
The rating I gave of 235 is Engine HP, I don't know what rwhp would be. The claim of 120HP increase is based on the engine HP. So I got more than 13hp increase. If 15% loss is correct then current engine HP is 285HP, so the gain is 50HP, which is still low and indicates a problem.
