47re in an 03' SO vs. 2nd Gen
Is there any difference in the 47re's that DC put in the 2003's and the 2nd gens? What is to give the 3rd gens the holding power that the 2nd gens dont have. Is the valve body set up different? I also saw an ad for an ATS valve body that said it would make a stock 47re reliably hold up to 320rwhp. Do you believe this is accurate?

Not sure about the 03's...I thought they were all 48RE's.
A good after market valve body will hold 320 hp easily. They have held up to 400 hp...for a while. Weakest link then becomes the Tq Convertor..but a 320 hp I would think you'd have few problems .... with reasonable driving habits.

I was at 310/675 for a long while with no problems, then I added laser cut DV's-that caused a problem!! Go out and buy a VB from Dave G, you will be good until you put more fuel to the fire!! 563-779-2719
