4000rpm

Has any body figured out how to increase the RPM on 24v? I would like to increase my top end up to 4000 RPM. TIA

I believe you have to run an Edge "Drag" Comp box to extend the fueling beyond stock RPM limits, but I'm not sure if it's as far as 4k.

Blue Chip redline box allows up to 4000 rpm.

The reason I was asking is the only BOMBs I see in his sig are an EZ, BHAF, and a straight piped exhaust.

I'm guessing:

1. he might have 4.10's

and

2. he definately wants to go faster

Why 4000?
It was really a number I pick out of the air. I don't think these engines are good for much more without changing valve springs. I am just looking fo a little more RPM in my lower gears when I am towing, and when I am coming on to the freeway. I have 3.54's

Here's a Dyno Chart for the EZ.

Looks like Torque is dropping heavily after 2200-2300 rpm & HP is dropping after 2900-3000 RPM.
Just seems that you'd be waaaay out of the powerband.

If you get the redline box, it will fuel all the way to 4000 rpms. Your gonna need the injectors and turbo to make power all the way up there though.

That's what I was saying.
With his present Mods, spinning the engine to a higher redline would only result in more wear & noise.
There was nothing said about additional mods, just the desire for more RPM.

It would be nice to have 4000 when towing, sometimes you just need more rpm's when you are grossed out at 35-40k lbs.

I wouldn't imagine needing MORE top end while towing heavy... if anything, you should be running a few MPH lower than normal for safety's sake...

now, if you're talking about being able to wind out harder so that you don't fall off when you go into the next gear, it sounds like you just need more power!
