#4 plate

Can you run a #4 at Full forward? Right now i have a custom 100/10 kind of a deep cut 10 with the middle stretched for more fuel in the middle. Do you think it will fuel more than a #4 at FF?

Well seeing as a 100 is basically a 0 plate with a small tab at the bottom to keep from fueling to hard at low RPM's and a 10 is close, but fuels even less at low RPM, you have me wondering exactly what it looks like. But in either case, a 4 won't fuel as hard as a 100, except it may flow more at low RPM's until the governor arm raises up a bit, now with your hybrid, it could be different.

The more the plate protrudes the less fuel you'll be sending to the injectors, the deeper its cut, the greater the fueling.

MY only question relates to the PDR chart the #10 for autos is 220/570 leads me to wonder if it makes less fuel than a #5 270/675 or a #4 witch looks like it fuels a little more. Another question is can a 5 or 4 run at FF. All i know is in my 97 (215 pump) the #10 ran like a bat out a heck and on this 180 pump its not nearly as powerful is that just the pump or is it also my plate. As for my hybrid imagine spreading the upper and lower tip or part that protrudes a about 1/8-1/4 of an inch apart and that’s my #10 whether it defuels at the top or not i have no idea. One other thing my trucks not very Smokey. Granted my star wheel is not at screwed completely but it’s still not very Smokey.

You can run any plate you want FF, just kep an eye on that EGT Gauge, you aren't going to make near the power with just a plate in your 180 pump as you did in a 215. A 215 with just a plate puts out consistently around 350HP to the wheels...

Your plate should work fine, since your trans is built I would run a 100 profile if I were you. It'll be easier on your trans than a 0, but fuel hard after you build a little RPM's, that and a GSK makes it a whole new truck.

3k GSK 16* afc springs and a boost elbow are going on soon i may try a #100 see if i can find a deference. I just remember the #10 being a beast. Are the DVs the same in the 180 and 215 pumps? I was thinking there both 181s.

yup they both have 181's from the factory, and i finally put my 4kgsk i had sitting in my room for 5 months in and holy crap im not sure how much power i gained but there is a huge seat of the pants differencel, and i can hit 1400 easily and 40 psi of boost no problem with a slipping tranny and a boost elbow, that is missing the little grub screw that use adjust it with. it fell out when i was driving it...deffinetly do a 3 or 4kgsk and tighten it 4 clicks after the intial click.
