4 inch exhaust ?

4 inch exhaust ?
Will this void a warranty if I buy a 03+ and install a full 4 inch straight exhaust. I drove a used 03 today 6 spd H.O. and man that thing was quite impressive compared to my 97 stroke. I thinking I might be getting a new dodge but going go with H.o. and auto. It needs to be louder though.

It won't void your warranty. If you think about it, there is nothing bad that can happen to the truck by adding a better exhaust. It's not like adding a fueling box which will be harder on the engine and trans. I just put a 4" muffler on mine and it sounds much better than stock...

To date I have never had a warranty issue for an exhaust installation, most dealers realize it's helping the truck breathe better and will actually help it live a better life. If you have any questions give us a call and we'll be glad to help you.

The Magnuson-Moss Act is what protects the consumer from dealers like the one I heard cited as an example. Denied warranty on power door locks because of an aftermarket exhaust.
